If you like Curling, Lawn Bowling may be for you!

Curling and lawn bowling are both precision sports played on a rectangular service, but they differ in terms of equipment, playing surfaces, and rules.  Curling involves sliding stones on ice towards a target area, while lawn bowling is played on grass with biased balls aimed at a smaller white ball (the Jack).

In each case, the goal of the player is to roll the bowl or release the rock is such a way that it will curl and rest as close as possible to the target.  In curling the target is static, while in lawn bowling, if another bowl hits the Jack and moves it, the new location now becomes the target.

Both sports are good fun and are a great opportunity to get out and socialize with others in our community.  Lawn bowling has the added benefit of being out in the fresh air and enjoying the warm weather!
